27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
(John 20:27-29)

O they tell me of a home far beyond the skies,
O they tell me of a home far away;
O they tell me of a home where no storm clouds rise, O they tell me of an uncloudy day.
O they tell me of a home where no storm clouds rise, O they tell me of an uncloudy day.

Golden Nugget #5
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
(Isaiah 53:4-9)

Golden Nugget #4
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
(1 John 5:7)
People may say that the word "Trinity" is not used in The Bible, but here in this verse it is clearly described.

Golden Nugget #3
The central message of The Bible in one verse.
All three of those points: Saved through Grace, not of ourselves, and the Gift of God....are repeated over and over again in The Bible. God loves us, and God alone saves us!
Life brings us to unpleasant places sometimes, places we desperately want out of ... isn't it nice to know that God cares about our plight, and that God himself has provided eternal security for us?
We must pray always for those who still thumb their noses at Gods glorious gift, and for ourselves that we never stop caring for peoples situations and their souls.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Golden Nugget #2
This weeks Golden Nugget is probably the single most recognizable verse in The New Testament, if not the whole Bible. It's one of the foundational verses of Biblical Christianity and it's one of the most commonly used verses when witnessing or evangelizing.
For years, during televised American football games, there was always at least one fan holding up a sign with this verse noted on it. It was impossible to think of the audience of an American football game without at least one "John 3:16" sign!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Golden Nugget #1
There are first times for everything, and the types of posts that will appear on this blog will all have their first appearances. This category, Gold Nuggets, is one of them, and this post is it's first appearance.
This post category will run with some sort of frequency and be numbered sequentially. They will be a cross between a devotional and a verse-of-the-day, consisting of a verse and an optional commentary. The "option" being if I have something profound to say about it, or if I should just let the verse appear without commentary so your mind is free of my influence.
The frequency of the posts in this category is going to be similar to all the categories, no set frequency other than what I feel like I'm being led to do.
Please feel free to comment in this category, it will be inspirational to see how God's word makes it's impact in peoples lives.

Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
